The worst NFL jerseys are gone!

The Buffalo Bills have done away with the ugliest set of NFL uniforms. The monstrosities they had been wearing since 2002 looked like 3 different uniforms pieced together; all bad. They couldn’t decide if they were navy blue, royal blue, or both, and they had more helmet stripes than the rest of the NFL teams combined.

Thankfully, the redesign has brought the opposite: simplicity. They’re not exciting, but they’re not ugly. And the helmet is beautiful. I’m a sucker for white football helmets, and this one is great. They went full retro and chose the gray facemask the Bills wore from 1974 to 1975 over the blue facemask that accompanied the white helmets for the next 8 years.

The old home uniforms (left) make me want to cry.

The new uniforms bring back the true Bills colors – royal blue and red. There’s not much to the uniforms, but that’s generally a good thing. They definitely have the updated-retro vibe I’ve mentioned before, similar to the new Washington Wizards jerseys. I’m not going to jump them to the top of my NFL uniform favorites list, but the Buffalo Bills are definitely removed from the bottom of that list, and their helmets are near the top.

What do you think of the new Bills jerseys? Larger pictures below.
